Amy's Bed

Project Overview
A small cat bed infused with the playful spirit of Frank Gehry's Swiggle Chair. Drawing inspiration from the iconic curves and fluid lines, I crafted a unique and whimsical resting place for feline companions, blending innovative design with comfort and style. This personal project explores how architectural design principles can be applied to smaller-scale objects, maintaining the essence of Gehry's deconstructivist approach while creating a functional and comfortable space for a pet. The project demonstrates my interest in design across scales, from architecture to furniture and product design. The bed features flowing, sculptural curves created through layered plywood construction, showcasing both craftsmanship and an understanding of form and function at an intimate scale.
